Overview of the Kindergarten section

The Kindergarten phase is the building stone for future life. The pace of learning is particularly fast in this phase. We understand the importance of this phase of learning hence unlike other schools we give prime importance to our pre-school and kindergarten sections.

It is a holistic system wherein we develop the child in all aspects

Our system envisages the following:

1. We consider the needs of all the children and also their individual differences.
2. We support and  encourage the following skills in our children:
   a) Psychomotor Skills: By various physical activities like exercises, games, dance etc we try and improve the child’s physical skills, coordination, dexterity and gross motor skills.
   b) Social-emotional Skills: This is an important skill as this deals with how a child interacts with his/her peers, adults, parents and the community at large. This skill is crucial for the child’s future. Our facilitators are continuously inculcating in our children the values of sharing, taking turns to do things, being kind to others,taking responsibility of their actions, etc.
   c) Linguistic skills: We aim to make our students fluent in three languages i.e. Hindi, English and their mother tongue.
   d) Cognitive Skills: Innovative classroom teachings, activities, audio-visual, play way method of teaching helps increase cognitive skills of our children.
   e) Self-Care skills: Hand washing is stressed on, eating your own food, no littering, toilet training, etc.
3. We start our teaching from what the children already know and provide a room for learning by trying and experimenting.
4. We impart in our children self-respect, self-confidence and self-control.
5. We support and develop their imagination, creative and critical thinking skills, communicative and self-expressive powers.
